I have recently created a web site which will host a discussion relating to verbal and emotional abuse of patients/clients in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.  I have created this forum to raise consciousness among professional therapists and lay people in the interests of patients, who are inevitably vulnerable, and as a means towards better practice.

To inform people living with life-threatening illnesses that this option is now available to them. To educate physicians and other medical professionals about this important patient resource.

"The Victorian Mental Illness Awareness Council (VMIAC), based in Melbourne, Australia, is a consumer/survivor-run advocacy organisation for people with mental health problems. Its membership includes both consumer/survivor groups and individuals who have experienced difficulties with their mental and/or emotional health."

The Video Improvement Program is a guidance and counseling program for adolescents. It can be done by any mental health professional with a camcorder and the VIP manual.

"The Viktor-Frankl-Institute is a non-profit scientific society for Logotherapy and Existential Analysis."

Supported by an award from the National Library of Medicine in conjunction with the National Laboratory for the Study of Rural Telemedicine.

Search the Virtual Hospital:

Keywords separated by a space are automatically searched together (myocardial infarction). To find either one keyword or the other, but not the two together, separate them with a comma (child,pediatric). To find two words together in the same line, separate them with a semicolon (pediatric;clinic).

Enter keyword(s):

Case sensitive. Check this box if you want to find only keywords containing uppercase letter(s), such as proper names or keywords in titles. This finds AIDS but not aids. Leaving the box unchecked (the default) finds all occurrences of a word, whether or not it contains capital letters.

Partial match. Check this box if you want to find partial matches to a word (typing imag finds image, images, imaging as well as imaginary). Use with care, as this may lead to excessive or irrelevant "hits."

Number of misspellings allowed:

Maximum number of files returned:

Maximum number of matches per file returned:

Reduce these numbers for fewer responses, but this may result in a less conclusive search.

"This is a personal non-commercial hobby venture. I [Scott Wallace, Ph.D., R.Psych.] am a registered clinical psychologist with expertise in clinical and organizational psychology and consulted nationally for expertise on stress and change management. Virtual Psych is a non-commercial venture that offers education in psychological principles for short-term and long-term stress and change management."
