In this project the Clinical-Diagnostic Guidelines from Chapter V (F) of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) of WHO, together with the Research Criteria, are converted into a hypertext document."

The Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy of New Jersey (IPPNJ) is recognized by the state of New Jersey as a non-profit educational corporation entitled to grant certificatesof completion to its graduates. Its faculty consists of a diverse group of psychoanalysts with extensive post-graduate training from a number of reputable psychoanalytic institutes.

The overriding goals of IPPNJ are:

(1) the advancement of psychoanalysis as a method of treatment, a body of clinical experience, and a theory of personality psychopathology, adaptation, and creativity; and

(2) the promotion of the highest attainable level of competence among mental health professionals who practice psychoanalysis and psychoanalytically informed psychotherapy, supervision, and teaching.

As a federally designated University Affiliated Program (UAP), the Institute is a part of a network of over fifty similar programs affiliated with major universities across the United States.
